About Moira

Moira is an associate in the firm’s Chicago Office, where she has the privilege of representing victims who have been tragically affected by mesothelioma. Prior to joining MRHFM, Moira received her Juris Doctorate degree from DePaul University College of Law, where she graduated with honors and earned a certificate in Intellectual Property Law. Throughout her academic career, she demonstrated exceptional scholarship, earning awards in four courses for outstanding studies and maintaining spots on the Dean’s List.

During her law school career, Moira served as a Research and Writing staff member of the DePaul Journal of Art, Technology & Intellectual Property Law. Her work was further recognized with the publication of her paper in Volume 34, Issue 1 of the Journal. Moira also played a key role in the Academic Success Program as a Teaching Assistant for two years, where she mentored fellow students and provided support to those navigating the rigors of law school.

In addition to Moira’s academic achievements, she gained valuable practical experience as a Law Clerk at a plaintiff’s asbestos litigation firm in Chicago for nearly two years. There, she had the privilege of fighting for victims who had been tragically affected by asbestos-related diseases and gaining hands-on experience in legal research, case preparation, and client advocacy. Moira also served as a Research Assistant for a prior professor of hers, conducting in-depth research to support academic and professional projects.

Outside of the office, Moira enjoys staying active, yoga, and exploring Chicago, whether that means discovering new restaurants, attending local events, or taking in the city’s rich culture. Moira also loves to immerse herself in new places and experiences through travels. Above all, Moira cherishes the time she spends with family, friends, and her two beloved cats, who always keep life interesting.

Experience

Prior to MRHFM, Moira was a law clerk for a plaintiff’s asbestos firm in Chicago, advocating for victims of mesothelioma, lung cancer, and asbestosis.
